Easy Seven Layer Dip and Guacamole Recipes for Cinco de Mayo

Hey looking for a great Cinco de Mayo dips to bring to your celebration or just for casual entertaining? Here are a couple recipes you will enjoy.

Guacamole

4-6 ripe Avocados (depending on size)
1 lime, juiced
1 cup Taco Chic Salsa( any heat you desire)
1/2 cup sour cream
salt to taste

In a bowl, mash avocados with lemon juice, add salsa sour cream and salt. serve immediately or prepare ahead and refrigerate until ready to eat.

Seven Layer drip

1 lb ground beef or chicken
1/2 onion chopped
2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoon garlic
1 can refried beans (pinto or black)
1 1/2 cups of cheese (Mexican blend)
1 8oz container sour cream
1 cup gaucamole (use from above)
1 cup Taco Chic Salsa
1 (2.25 oz) can chopped olives
1/2 cup diced roma tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped green onions

In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion, cumin, chili powder and garlic. Set aside to drain and cool to room temperature.

Spread the beans into the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving tray that is about 1 1/2 inches deep. Layer meat on top of beans. Spread sour cream very slowly on top of beef. Spread guacamole on top of sour cream. Pour salsa over guacamole and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheese. Sprinkle black olives, tomatoes, and green onions on top.
